Water Quality Updates & Notifications

July 29, 2026 UPDATE

The Central Water District distributed the below notice on July 29, 2026.  This is not an emergency.  However, the District is actively working with the State to address this exceedance.  Quarterly updates will be provided until the District meets with this standard.  Per current regulations, a water system of our size is not considered in violation until after October 1, 2028. 

The Central Water District reports Hexavalent Chromium above safe levels in one well; it's not an emergency, no action needed.
